Creative Salmon Biology

Creative Salmon Biology Technician Creative Salmon is Canada's first certified organic salmon farming company. We require a Biology Technician, full-time, year-round in Tofino, British Columbia (staff accommodation is not provided). The Biology Technician will divide time between the fish processing plant, the associated wastewater treatment plant, and the office, with some time spent on the sea sites, at the hatchery, and occasional visits to supply chain partners. Responsibilities Include: Quality control of fish processing with data management and analysis, reporting, shelf life trials and other projects. Liaison with and assist harvest vessel crew. Ensure efficient operation of the fish processing plant wastewater treatment system including compliance with permits and regulation. Work with system operators and the consulting engineer to monitor and refine procedures. A valid driver's license and willingness to be licensed as a small vessel boat operator is required. Minimum educational requirement is a college technical diploma in a related field. The position offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience and a generous benefits package.
