Hospital Security Guard Regional location of the job(s): Primarily Victoria, some Port Alberni and Tofino Hourly wages offered: Starting $13.85 (common) Job details: Primary function is onsite guarding (standing, walking, observing, report writing, interacting with public, etc.) Shifts usually 8 hours in length Setting/Environment: Various hospitals and VIHA buildings. Number of positions available: 6+ Job Responsibilities Provide superior customer service to clients and general public. Provide access control and security foot patrols as needed. Provide constant patient watch as needed. Proactively respond to and resolve emergency situations and conflicts. Complete evacuation and emergency response procedures if necessary. Communicate problems or concerns to the site supervisor. Ensure logs and reports are filled out accurately and professionally Be familiar with the post orders and health and safety regulations. Perform all duties with high safety standards. Job Requirements BC Security Licence OFA 1 (mandatory) VIHA training course (1 day) Experience using cell phone/computer an asset, previous security experience an asset.
