The Alberni Clayoqquot Branch is prioritizing local adoption applications due to Covid-19. *** Meet this lovely, happy girl Coco. She is a shepherd, lab mix, maybe a bit of hound in there too. Coco has been in foster care for over a month now. She has been dealing with some skin and intestinal issues, but it's time Coco moves on and finds her new furever home. The furever home we are looking for will continue fostering her and take on her necessary care, until the vet gives Coco the all clear, then the home can finalize adoption! She has been very social in her foster home and the foster family says she loves every person and dog she meets. Coco can be at times very strong on leash when she's following her nose. She will need to continue working on her leash skills. She has learned some of the basic commands in the foster home and is eager to learn more from her new home. She has lived in the foster home with a cat and doesn't seem to mind sharing the space.
